How can I remove these dots and are there other filters that could help me to get more out of this lousy cable connection?

It looks like interference. Is it a capture?

Try Defreq: http://avisynth.org.ru/defreq/defreq.html

This is a live cap from my TV card.

The filter you suggest does not remove such dots.

It won't touch the dots, it works on the wavy lines. Fanfilter is another option for the same noise.

For the dots, a strong temporal filter is needed. MVDegrain is very good but slow; you might need to turn the thSAD up to 1000 or so. Alternately, Removedirt with very small sizes might work.

For the dots, try despot:
