ac3 problems in divx avi

Hello!
I´m new at this and would be glad if anyone could help me.
I´m having problems getting the sound in 5.1 to work. I´ve used virtualdub to compile the video och audiofile (hope i did it right)
But the sound when I´m playing the movie is just i stereo, not in 5.1. Do I need any codecs, or another player?
I´ve tried with powerdivx and mediaplayer.
I have soundblaster 5.1.

You need Nandub to mux the ac3 file not Virtualdub.

Don't forget to install the AC3 filters out of the download section.

Download the audio playback filters for AC3. You should be able to find it in the download section on Doom9's site. Otherwise do a search through the forums for Tsunami and download that pack.
