How about switching to xxl's, albain's or clsid's builds on the autoupdater for now?

The autoupdater has been stuck on rev635 for quite a while now, so why not switching to either of these daily build releases until Sharktooth gets better?

Switch to the development servers and it'll pull in 654, plus 12 or so other updates. If you want Sharktooth's AQ patches, check out the alternative download link in the sticky; it'll take you to Cef's site, which is hosting 656. Using it right now, as a matter of fact.

I am not looking for anything specific, I was just wondering why MeGUI's autoupdater wasn't looking for x264 build somewher else for the time being.
