hi!
i ripped a dvd without problems... after burning it on cd with cdrwin 3.8e my computer is not able to access the cd. not in windows explorer and not by using my software dvd player in file mode.
I tried VCDImager and VCDXBuild. Both does not work. the MPEG file created by dvd2svcd can be viewed in my player without any ploblems.

does anybody know what to do to make it work?

Thanks,
squard64 :)

It sounds like you have a Bad Cdrwin crack.. Which he generally puts out multple of the same versions or old cracks don't work on new ones and instead of telling you its a bad crack it just burns coasters for yea.. I would suggest Downloading fireburner and trying that to burn your cue/bin files.

i tried fireburner before cdrwin and it did not find my cd-recorder. (without giving me a error message that would explain why) i have the latest aspi32 layers installed. my cd-recorder is a 'traxdata 4120 pro' which usually uses teac drivers (winoncd 5 power edition)

do you know how to make fireburner work correctly?

I am the exact oposite.. Wincdr couldn't find my burner and Fireburner did.. I would download forceaspi17 you can find it on doom9's download site and install that.. And then Run Fireburner to see if it detects it. other then that you might wanna try someother burning programs like BlindWrite or if your burner supports it cdrdao which is free cli program.

I have switched solely to the suggestion of mrbass. I now only use Daemon-Tools + any burn program which supports CD-to-CD copy. It works perfectly (my preferred constellation is Daemon-Tools + CloneCD).

Daemon-Tools (http://www.daemon-tools.org/downloads.htm)
CloneCD (http://www.elby.de/CloneCD/english/)

i did not get fireburner working yet, but the deamon tools are working fine and i was able to burn the image (cd is readable now). powerdvd 3 is not able to show the movie but i think i can solve problem by upgrading to powerdvd xp 4.0 which supports SVCDs.

thanks for all your help!

I use XP and they all work fine for me, except for fireburner, because I have never tried it.

that wasn't my suggestion..forgot who said it..hang on..looking it up
Labersack and Arianos posted about it..I just added their suggestion to the newbie faq. I'm 100% partial to cdrdao..that's my favorite. When I first started out I used Fireburner for 2 months or so then Blindwrite for 2 months and now cdrdao for the rest of my life:cool:

I tested with Nero and it works fine while it doesn't work with CDRWin.
