Hey everybody, I have a problem you guys probably get all the time - I made a Logitech webcam recording, it went way too long I think.. probably around 3 hours. When I went to save the file it *seemed* to be fine, but the end product is about 1 GB large and corrupt. When I try to open the file in Google Video I get a "Corrupt Index" error, DivX plays it but it just transitions from torquise squiggly lines to green lines, and any other program I use says its 1 hour and 30 minutes long, it looks like it's playing but the video never actually plays. I've attached the virtual dub screen shot. Any help would be HUGELY appreciated, I've already tried numerous index rebuilding programs and even tried to split it up and attach new headers.. and i don't even know what that means ;)

Thanks SO much!!

:thanks: -kim

Hi!

1) Among the "numerous index rebuilding programs" did you try to use VirtualDub's reindexing function?

2) Load the file into GSpot and post a screen capture back here

Just to add, I also had a similar problem with an .avi file too but it wasn't so much to do with the software side, rather my Hard Drive was on the way out. It didn't write the index tables properly and thus gave me a file that was way bigger than it should be. Maybe you can try to scan your HD first.

OK.. sorry for the delay, here are some screen shots from GSpot, do they help at all? Thanks so much again!!
