I want to crop 51 pixels off of the top of the bottom, but when I converted it, it just cut off ALL of the black borders, I want to keeps some of the black. Could someone give me a detailed step-by-step way to force it to crop exactly 51 pixels off of the top and bottom?

Thanks in advance!!

Enter Hidden Options with CTRL-F9, set autocrop treshold to 0, fill in your force cropping parameters.

You're welcome. I'm just wondering why you want to keep black borders on an avi file.

So when I put the video on my PSP it is the right ratio and not stretched or anything.

Ok, ran into a weird problem...I have a 720x480 vob file that I want to convert into a 720x408 xvid file. I want to crop a total of 72 pixels off of the top and bottom, 36 off of each. But when I put 36 on the top and bottom, I don't get that size, I get 3xx for my height, which isn't right. I was playing around with the sizes and I got it to go to720x416, then added one to the top and bottom force crop and it went to 720x400, skipped right over my disired height. If anyone has any ideas that would be great!!

It's forcing Mod16 resize - you can't alter that in AutoGK.

feature request:
Crop/Aspect preview.

Almost all files AutoGK crops automatically and without any problems. But sometimes it'll be good to see HOW it decided to make a crop.

how it'll work?

AutoGK analyses source and then makes a preview of a cropped/resized frame. If it's good -- I press "continue" and ripping starts. If not -- I manually correct cropping parameters and then process starts.

This will be a good feature! Note that the GordianKnot program has this feature, but in fact almost all ripping steps are the same, excluding one: crop/resize/aspect setting.

p.s. excuse for bad english... i hope it's understandable :)

@dmvn.. after you enter the crop parameter in the hidden menu, close it and press preview ;)

dmvn, you can always use Gordian Knot as an active preview to crop what you like, then you can plug those numbers directly into AutoGK.

AutoGK is no longer being actively developed.
