Question about Bin/Cue files
The Incredible One

Hello,
I see everyone complaning about those bin/cue files. But I have always mpeg files. I never can find bin/cue files.
Because I burn mpeg files is that the reason that I don't have a cd picture? Or that my converted movie sometimes freezes for a second in my standalone player?
I hope someone could answer this question.
Thanks

Ummm, if I am understanding correctly, I do believe that explains at least the cd picture problem. You see the cue/bin files come from the CD Image creation step in DVD2SVCD, if you disabled it in the options it doesnt build the cd image and doesnt author it with VCDImager, and that is where it puts in the Title picture/ChangeCD picture.
Now you may have it turned on, but I'm only assuming becuase you say you cant locate any bin/cue files...
As for that freeze problem, I suspect it stems from your player. Some players have minor troubles when playing svcds, one of mine has that same problem, in certain spots it just hickups (freezes for a brief second then starts up again right where it left off). In that case its not the disc becuase it plays perfectly in every other player I've tried (and that ALOT, I have a friend who used to work at Best Buy that checked it out for me)...

Hi there,
I get 1, 2 or 3 mpeg-files when dvd2svcd has finished. I burn these mpeg-files with Nero's SVCD.
The mpeg-files began with ****00.MPEG and ****01.MPEG etc.
But maybe this is the wrong way to burn them. In Nero you can select VCD or SVCD. When I use SVCD I can drag&drop the mpeg-files and burn them. I use Nero 5.5.6.4.

nero is terrible for burning compliant svcd's.it is the reason that you dont get any of the change cd pic's etc.i did my first 3 films this way and they skipped as well.i have now redone these 3 + many others with the bin-cue files and everything worked perfectly everytime.the moral in this story id that nero sux. :)

Yes that is the reason you dont have a cd picture.
You must burn the cue/bin files 2 get those pictures.
The freezing part really dosent seem 2 me an issue with you burning the mpeg or cue files its more of an issue of your player or if the svcd/vcd was made correctly ect try the movie in a player that is known 2 not freeze up maybe that could give you the answer you are looking for.
I guess it's a matter of opinion, Nero has worked the best for me
when burning cue/bin files..before the previous version 5.5.6.4 I had to load the cue files with either deamon tools or fantom cd. I would of rathered just burned with cdrwin or Fireburner, since they load the cue files right from start. The fact for me is neither of those programs worked for me. My opinion which thats all I can go on at this point since we all seem 2 prefer different programs for different reasons, is try them all and see which works best for you.

you could be right about the freezing issue as i changed my dvd player around the same time from a philips dvd 622 (not the best) to a pioneer dv444 (plays anything)and the freezing also disappeared.
I havnt Tried the newest version of nero for svcd but i do use it for almost everything else and agree with you that everyone should use what works best for them :)

Hello,
As you can read above you must burn the .cue files. If you don't have pictures in the movie you can take the mpeg files. All the other files can be removed. When you have Nero you must disable the wizzard and at the left you can see Super Video CD. That one you must have! Than push New at the right and drag & drop.

Thanks for the help. I've tried the movie Pearl Habor on my pc and the freezing part has isn't dissapeard. So I think I am going to be mad:confused:
But I have to make a copie of my burned cd's with CloneCD and that doesn't work also. I get green blocks, the sound and subtitles aren't sync. Does anyone have the answer?
Thanks

He GOD,
That the picture is shaking I don't no what the reason is. But that CCE Logo is because you have the demo version. When you give me a correct email I send you the full version without the logo
