Your opinions please, the easiest but quality is important as well...

What I want to do:

Take two DVDs (both have removable subtitles) and combine them onto one DVD. I have a few I want to do this with, some have menus (that I do not want) of their own others are the movie only. I want to insert my own motion menu navigating between the two movies only.

Normally I would just take the videos and put them into Adobe Encore (the authoring prog I use) and create my own menu. But the removable subtitles is a bit of a stumbling block.

After much tinkering I have figured out how to pull the subtitle stream in SUBRIP via OCR and save it in a way Encore reads it.

It is a pain to OCR & I would prefer to keep the video\subs intact as I think I may encounter some sync issues with the subs this way. But I am quite familiar in Encore and can create a nice motion menu in no time.

I have DVD Remake Pro but have not used it in a while , I know
it can combine the two movies intact but I cannot strip out the original menus etc? I know there are guides to put a background to the default Remake menu but it cannot use motion menus?

I also am a little familiar with PGCEDIT but I have not figured out how that would help?
