Hi,
I have been trying to do the chapters for a vcd using the guide. I set up everything, pasting in the chapter times, and making the end offset at about 65 minutes. I press go and it does it thing. After it has told me it is finding the closest possible time for my chapters it comes up with an error 'image too big 487104 sectors > 449850 sectors'. It makes the xml file but then stops. I tried to manually change the xml into bin/cue but it comes up with the same error.
The movie is about 1h 45m and its in one mpg file. i add it and it says the cd will be 1100 (approx.) megs. Im not sure if im doing something wrong...

ok, im back. i made the mpg again and everything is fine with it, so i tried vcdeasy and got the same message (i decided to copy the whole log file this time). I have followed the guide really closely.
here it is -

Ummm, yea, that wwaaaayyyy too big to fit on 1 cd... even at vcd bitrates thats too big. your going to have to cut it to 2 cds...

i set the end offset at 1h 10 min, which is 70 minutes...cds hold 74 minutes...anyway, i also tried setting the end offset at 20 minutes and it had the same problem. I think its getting the chapters till the end offset, and then the last chapter is 60 minutes long. How do i make it so the end offset is the end of the CD, as your not meant to split it up before hand...or are you?

Yea, you need to split the mpeg file up before all that...

but wouldnt that stuff up the chapterxtractor stuff. as you would need to figure out all different chapter times for the extra cds.

if you get it can you tell me please as i am having trouble understanding how to set chapters for the second disk of my svcd's.
i can do the first disk by copy/paste chapter ex-tractor data for the first half of the chapters but the second half of the chapters start at a time half way through.do i need to work out the times between the second lot of chaters and edit them manually or do i just copy/paste second lot of chapters as is(i did this and got an error"wrong chapter point entry"in vcdeasy.

i think you need to work out the chapter points of the second cd manually...i never use proper chapter entrys now (like from the dvd), i normally just do 10 minute intervals...
