Hi. I have just known about Muxman, which I was told is a good choice for DVD authoring.
The problem is that, when I encode an AVI file, I obtain either a MPV (if I use CCE 2.5) or a M2V (if I use TMPGenc).

I usually have no problem for authoring with either IFOEdit (I use PAL TV system) or DVD Lab.

My question in: since I encode AVI files into 'square pixels' MPV/M2V files (AVI have square pixels), will Muxman accept the file without problems?
I'm asking this because IFOEdit always accepts square pixel movies, but DVD Lab, if a square pixel M2V is loaded, gives a warning.

Thanks in advance.

There is a freeware version, why not try it out?

MuxMan accepts the following mpeg-1 par values:
3 (0.7031) as PAL 16:9
6 (0.8437) as NTSC 16:9
8 (0.9375) as PAL 4:3
12 (1.1250) as NTSC 4:3
The display size (aka resolution) must be appropriate for the standard (PAL or NTSC)

Mpeg-2 dar values must be 4:3 or 16:9

OK, thanks, so I understand that my encoded M2V files (my encoder's setting, by mistake, had pixels set 1:1) cannot be authored by muxman.
So, if I want to try Muxma I must change my TMPGenc Plus / My CCE setting.

I think I'll remain with IFOEdit or DVD Lab; all my authored DVD made with 1:1 pixels are viewed correcly on all DVD players I tried, and I dont want to change now....

Thanks for the infos
