When I use FileSize, AutoGK fails with a VirtualDub error,
"AVIOutput: The process cannot acess the file because it is being used by another process."
First pass goes OK, error occurs when AutoGK attempts to start the second pass.

OK, I uninstalled all codecs and AutoGK. I then did a full install of AutoGK 2.40. No difference. When I attempt to use filesize, first pass completes but as soon as AutoGK kicks off VirtualDub for the second pass, it says another process has the file open.
My PC isn't overclocked, it is a Dual Core HP MediaPC.

Did you clean the registry before reinstalling?

Do you have a symantec antivirus or other product? if so look at the FAQ 6.16... Just a possibility

Something else to check, does this Vdubmod problem happens for ALL your movies or only a specific one?

DidI do have symantec antivirus, I will check out FAQ 6.16.
It is all recordings, No problems if I do Quality setting (single pass).

Opps, I don't find any FAQ 6.16. Are you still referring to More FAQ? OK, it is in FAQ, got it, but if I read this correctly, the only fix is to turn off my antivirus?

OK, turning off Norton AntiVirus Protection does fix the problem, but is there any other solution? My system records many programs and I have automated the cut commercials and re-encode to Xvid. If I were only doing this manually, I could turn it off for the time it takes to re-encode, but the process happens at all hours.
