Hi all,

I create in Delphi a media player with editing function ( useful to remove credits,...) You can create a Chatper menu like a DVD for all of your video files... When you close the player it save your progression playback.

If you want more details http://www.nsplayer.org/?id_page=2

It's a freeware, you can download it here

I made tutorials to explain step by step how the player works.

Actually I am working on a version 2.0, with more options and full compatible Windows Visa because actually le NSP 1.1 disables aero on Vista.

So if you have any comments/ suggestions, you can post it on my forum.

Thanks for reading

Probably because it uses overlay mixer as a video renderer or other non aero compatible video renderer.

I know it, for the 2.0 version I am using the vmr9 windoless render.

Actually I think you should let the user select the renderer like in MPC. (http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2004-6/737150/output.jpg)

This is an interesting player - it allows you to combine arbitrary files into sets. There is no other player that supports chapters across multiple files, to my knowledge. Great idea!

I'm missing some basic things though:
Player mode: No controls, no chapter switching across files (how about expanding the "Go to sub-scene" context menu to a hierarchical one that includes all scenes/subscenes in the project?), basic Windows shortcuts (fullscreen etc.) don't work
Chapters menu: Weird behavior when resized, aspect ratio isn't preserved, and what happens to background images when the absolute path changes (ie. when files get burned to CD)?
Scenes Editing: Sub-scenes that have been edited manually still show the default duration of 1 m, although they work correctly.

To bring up the player controls, you have to left-click, which I only found out by watching the tutorial - not very intuitive. Also, the nagging auto resume-dialog makes it too easy to get stuck with the scene editing mode. Then if you click on "player" in the toolbar, nothing happens. Ideally, a double click on a scene/subscene in the editor should launch the player, as it does nothing otherwise.

Clearly something unique, but not (yet) perfect ;-)
