Is there any programmes to convert my xvids from widescreen to full screen (zooming)?

Hi this is my first post on here so be kind :)

I have loads of xvid avi films that are wide screen... However, I perfer if they fill the screen on my TV which is not widescreen.

My HDD multimedia player does not zoom.

Is there anyway I can cut off sides of my AVI's so they appear full screen on my TV ... something thats quick and does not lose quality of avi.

You will need to crop/resize using avisynth for this, but you will loose some part of picture on the sides, just FYI.
