HI,
I'm starting over with mkv container after leaving VDM and avi :p

I have some questions. With avi and VDM I used to demux my mpeg2 file (dvb-t) with projectx, then convert the audio track into wav with some software and open all streams in VDM and cut commercials.

Now with Megui I have to:
- demux with projectx
- open mpeg2schnitt, cut commercials perfectly because I can see the video and audio preview
- save the cutted mpeg2 video/audio
- convert to wav
- finally all the operations in megui for creating a mkv with x264 and aac

I tried to cut directly commercials with projectx but I can't because it's hard to do, I can't see the preview so I don't know if I'm doing the exactly right cut and I can't switch from frame to frame (ony 10 frames and more).
Is there any possibilites to convert automatically audio in wav and then in aac (as automkv does) because I've always done this or the audio compression will really suck for me.

So, I would like to know if is there any possibility to delete or skip some steps to speed up all the process.

Thanks

megui automates dgindex, which can demux DVB streams the last time I checked. It also has an avisynth based cutter so there's no need to use any external program for any of your steps other than recording.

Wow, I didn't know it...could you be more precise? I mean are you saying I can demux, adjust audio delay, convert to wav and then to aac, cut commercials all in MEgui?

You don't even have to go to wav.. megui directly takes you from mp2/ac3/dts to aac.

Yes. Just follow the basic guide on the wiki, it will walk you through the steps.

"demux,"
The "D2V creator" tool runs DGIndex, which creates a D2V file, and demuxes the audio.

"audio delay, convert to wav and then to aac"
No need to convert to wav, just use MeGUI to transcode directly from the demuxed AC3 to AAC. You can set the delay during transcode.
