I've started to back up my small Blu-Ray collection using megui's "slow profile" along with 128kb aac to a dvd-5 filesize at 1280x720 resolution with spline36. I am very happy with the resulting image on my 55 inch RPTV at 1080i but I'm also considering using dvd-9 instead. I'm just wondering what others are doing with their Blu-Ray collection (or HD-DVD for that matter). Are you going with a firm bitrate encoding scheme or using a media capacity limit be it dvd-5 or dvd-9?
I'm still going back and forth and wondering what backup scheme the rest of the doom community is doing. The great thing is I can alway just encode them again if I need to but want to decide on a strategy now as my collection is small atm.
