Hi, i wanted to make a 1080p X264 from my HDDVD from Million Dollar Baby. i demuxed the audio and video streams.

On the HDDVD the audio format is DD+, but after demuxing with evodemux, my audio file has a *.mpa ending, so i cant use eac3toac3 :(

So what do i have to do with the Audio stream, so i can mux it under my mkv after i encoded it and have the 5.1 sound!?

I believe the ".mpa" extension that EVOdemux gives the audio track means nothing. In fact, I believe EVOdemux will give any type of audio track it finds in your EVO the ".mpa" extension.

If you look in the "Options" tab of EVOdemux, you'll see that you can actually set what extensions it gives video, audio, and subtitle tracks.

In other words, it's giving you a DD+ track, but just uses the ".mpa" extension instead of ".ddp". You should be able to just rename the extension to ".ddp"

Are you having any luck with eac3to ? I'm not, I get a pin error.
