All runs sweet until the cce part.. then the trancoding screen pops up and it hangs. Then XP gives me the error saying it must close and sorry for the inconvenience.
I am running 400mghz 512MB RAM. Could it be to do with the speed of my proccessor?
Thanks

Probably not the speed directly, but the type of processor. 400 MHz implies it's a PII or a really old PIII or celeron (or maybe an older AMD - don't know enough about AMD to tell).
I believe CCE requires a processor with SSE support. PII and older PIII and celerons don't have SSE, thus CCE won't run on them.

Just to correct yea.. All PIII's support SSE even the first ones.. but PII's don't.

I am also having a serious problem with cce v2.5 that I downloaded from the dvd2svcd websit. I seems to start out just fine, (it does the 2 image frames w/o complaints), and then starts the encoding of the movie. However, after about an hour (once at 26% and another time at 33%) it gives me this error.
Cce encoding failed: AVIStreamRead failed(0x80004005)
If I hit ok, it starts to due more encoding (possibly something else it has to encode, I haven't looked), but I know that this cannot be right so I cancled it.

I was reading through the faq, and it said that a bigger swap space is need, (768 I think). I have mine at 128, do you think making this bigger would help?

I would try letting windows do the swap file since you have 512 megs of ram see how that works...
