Why bother? Use the DOS copy/b command!

copy/b file1+file2 file3 (note the + and space)

copy/b can be used to join two contiguous files of the same titleset. In other case, the resulting file won't be spec compliant.

May be bent is asking how to join two titles in one uniq DVD? It can be easily done with DVDshrink in reauthor mode.

In any case, bent should clarify his question.

ie after i used winavi to convert my .avi files to .vob, it comes out as 2 .vob files.

i want to use Nero vision express to burn those 2 files as a single file instead ie one file appears in the menu

how can i do that?

Why do you want to do that? The VOB files must be less than 1GB, or your DVD will not be standard compliant.

Furthermore, as jsoto said, you cannot join files from different titlesets (for example VTS_01_1.VOB and VTS_02_1.VOB) and you cannot join files from the menu and the title domains (VTS_01_0.VOB and VTS_01_1.VOB.)

Therefore, you can ONLY join files from the title domain of the same VTS (VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VOB ...) if the resulting file is less than 1GB.

To burn your DVD, you have to include all DVD files (the VOB, IFO and BUP files) in Nero. (BTW, use ImgBurn instead of Nero. It is largely superior, and will not let you burn a compilation with missing files.)

I don't know winavi, but..

a) If you are converting only one movie and the result is two VOB because of the size:
- Does not winavi provide the rest of the files ? ( say *.IFO and *.BUP)
If yes, you're done, simply burn a DVD with whichever burning SW..
If not, you have to create the IFOs. Use IFOEDIT for that.

b) If you're converting TWO different movies, so the result are two set of VOB files produced by two different runs of winavi
You need an authoring stage before burning.
Can use dvdshrink in reauthor mode (no menus) or TMPGENc_DVD_Author (easy to use, not free, but a trial of 30 days available)
