WMV Multi File Encoder

basically i capture with Virtual Dub, and convert with windows media Encoder.. works alright.. but i want it so that i can convert many .AVI's. i wasn't sure where to put this but.. basically i am looking for an AVI -> WMV converter that can allow me to convert multiple files to either the same file.. or same separate file names in a different folder... because when i have several small clips like 6-8 its a big pain to convert each, one by one.

You can encode a bunch of files into one wmv using WME9 (Add sources).
To encode into different files in one batch, you'd need a front-end like Nic's (I think there are others but I haven't used them).

also i tried the sources but when i click add it says it wont encode because of like multiple source error or something like that..

can u post a link?No, I don't have one. But did it myself more than once (make sure you choose "Roll over..." for every source but the last.

But if it can encode every file separately, it will alsi do it alltogether.

If you download the WMSDK, there is a WM Batch Encoder that you can add a bunch of files to convert and apply a profile...
