Hi, I've been experimenting with AutoGK 2.4 to convert TV series episodes to Xvid AVI (Original source is from DVD, 16:9)
I am setting output size to 350Mb. For some reason, when I choose "Output Audio type" as either "Auto" or "VBR MP3 128 kbps" my resulting avi is showing a bitrate of 108 kbps. This is verified through Windows file explorer and GSpot.
From the log, it is correctly specifying audio bitrate to 128 VBR:
[5/1/2007 9:17:56 PM] Output codec: XviD
[5/1/2007 9:17:56 PM] Audio 1: English AC3 2ch
[5/1/2007 9:17:56 PM] Subtitles: none
[5/1/2007 9:17:56 PM] Format: AVI
[5/1/2007 9:17:56 PM] Target size: 350Mb
[5/1/2007 9:17:56 PM] Audio 1 settings: VBR MP3 with average bitrate: 128Kbps
[5/1/2007 9:17:56 PM] Started encoding.
[5/1/2007 9:17:56 PM] Demuxing and indexing.
......
Can anyone think of any reason that the output is showing up as 108 and not 128? This has happened for all of my TV episode rips, even for different series (sometimes the values are a bit different, but never 128) Or is this normal?
Note: If I set Audio to CBR MP3 128, Windows and GSpot report the resulting avi as 128 CBR.
The codec being used is Lame v3.97 (at least that is what is reported in GSpot)
Thank you!
