Precise Bicubic Settings ?

When using the resize filter in VDub, what is the difference between Precise cicubic (A=-0.75), .60 and 1.00 ??

For general encoding what should I choose ?

Sorry if this should be blatantly obvious to me...it's not :)

The difference is the 'sharpness'.

I would recommend 0.60 for most use. It is closest to neutral sharpness. (flat frequency response), 0.75 is a little sharper, and 1.00 is sharper still.
