Hi, i have a problem.

I tried to make a xvid out of my dvd. I used dgindex 1.4.8 beta 7 to demuxed the main movie in *.m2v and *.wav (audio is PCM Format on the DVD) and to create the d2v file for GKnot. But when i do everything as usual the final xvid is getting async. I have done a lot of Xvids before that way (with AC3 audio) and all were perfect.

I tried to convert only the audio with besweet and i recognized, that it is already async after demuxing :(

Its also not a Problem with the delay (dgindex says 0ms), coz in the beginning its about 100ms async and at the end over 4 seconds.

Video is in Pal (25fps)

Some1 had same problems or knows what else i can try? Dgindex say also that it has fixed something:

Could that cause the async?

thx for your help in advance

@Penecho

Have you played your original, unnamed DVD, to make certain that it is not out of synch?

By the way, when you say, "It's an old DVD", do you mean that the DVD itself was released several years ago, or that it is merely a DVD of an old movie (Which may actually be a newer DVD release)?

Released several years ago!

@Fishtank: i use gknot not agk and vbr ;)?

Problem has to be the video part :(

Something seems to get changed, when i convert from m2v to xvid :(

The MP3 audio i create is exactly the same as the Audio i extract from the vobs!

@Penecho

Again, have you played your original, unnamed DVD, to make certain that it is not out of synch?

I used newest build of dgindex now and did the analyse sync:

and it looks a bit weird! here a small part of it:

So, i solved this, but now i have another problem.

I extractet every chapter with dvddecrypter and encoded them all manually, but when i try to merge them with Nandub, it tells me "The Audio Streams have diffrent Data Formats" although i have encoded all the parts with exactly the same settings.

When i play the parts they are all sync, but coz i could not merge them with Nandub i tried Easy Video Joiner. He merged it, but now its again async:(

Anyone a suggestion?

For EACH of the files, do the following:

1) Load file into VirtualDub
2) Set "Video" to "Direct Stream Copying"
3) Set "Audio" to "Full Processing Mode"
4) From the "Audio" dropdown menu, select "Compression"
5) Select, for example, 22,050Hz
6) From the "Audio" dropdown menu, select "Conversion"
7) If necessary, put a checkmark next to "Display all formats"
8) Select your preferred sampling rate from amongst the, for example, 22,050Hz .MP3 rates listed
9) Click on "OK"
10) Save with a new filename
