Wow. I haven't seen one of those in a long time. Did you do any preprocessing? I ask because I've done that disc a lot of times in testing... I'll try it with the latest version just to be sure.

Yes havent seen that error for ages...

Just tested again new Rip to disc (now using AnyDVD)....And it works now!
No preprocessing

But it seems that DVDremake dosent like DVDrebuilder anymore...
(Never had any problems before just "removing trailers etc...)
But its a no go now....

So now I have to compress in DVDrebuilder only the Credits and then remove the rest afterwards with DVDremake..but that requires alot of calculating sizes...

Really dont know if its the new DVDrebuilder or its the new DVDremake that suddently is causing problems never had any before!! 500+ Disc I will try the older DVDremake and see if that solves it...( I updated to new version from both of you)

PS This was a bad rip....but afterwards I got the same error after using DVDremake with the movie "Deja-Vu" so there is some comp. problem between these programs now )-;

If you describe exactly what you are doing I may be able to repeat it with DVD ReMake and see what's up.

Ok I Am trying the older Remake to see if it is something in the new version. Movie: Deja Vu

I really dont want to waste your time if this is a bug in the new DVDremake :)

Sofar if I dont use any preprocessing...it works
But all new titles need some work...
EX Deja Vu
They have added ILVU with extra material so only way to get rid of this is DVDremake...

DAM! I get the error again using the old DVDremake...

@casperse

Hi!

Looks like your problem is being caused by incorrect/failed ripping of this SONY "ARccOS"-protected release.

I successfully ripped the R1 version of "Deja Vu" with "RipIt4Me"...

Are you encoding within DVD-RB? It appears that somehow your M2V file for that segment has more frames than the original. Either that, or the .FLG file has been corrupted. Usually when you get that error it is only because the stream is corrupt in terms of it's temporal references... but yours looks like it has hit another GOP after the last one was already processed.

You're not using DVD Remake on the source between PREPARE and ENCODE are you?

1) Same rip....no changes

2) Preprocessing with DVDremake

3) Prepare & encode...

4) Rebuild...get error....

But if I do this,,,,

1) Same Rip

3) Prepare & Encode & Rebuild no errors...

4) DVDremake afterwards (Very fiffucult to calculate the right encoding before and then remove the stuff afterwards)

So this would suggest that the rip is okay...but something changes when I "Blank" stuff in DVDremake (DVDrebuilder cant blank these out) that could account for the differens in frames???

In Deja Vu they have put extra material in ILVU in the main movie! so removing these migt cause the error?
In that case its two different problems in two different movies...

Maybee it is just bad luck..:)

@casperseIn Deja Vu they have put extra material in ILVU in the main movie! so removing these migt cause the error?Additionally, "Deja Vu" contains a recent iteration of "RipGuard" copy protection, whereas "Fianal Destination 3" does not...

@casperseAdditionally, "Deja Vu" contains a recent iteration of "RipGuard" copy protection, whereas "Fianal Destination 3" does not...

The god thing is that if I can encode the end credit only and remove all the "Junk" you can actually keep the movie "ORG" no encoding and with menu....:) Love this feat. in DVDrebuilder!!!!

because i work out problems by trial and error versus expertise I'm sure this "method" involves some wrong uses but the result works
I'm assuming you want a full backup without ilvu
While ripit4me isn't really needed for ripquard titles in this case I'd use it with the full routine
Then open rip in Pgcedit and highlight VTST 4,2
Click PGC tab and choose Kill Pgc playback if successful you should get a do you want to blank cells option go yes
It will ask about backing up I choose no
If all goes well the run time for 4,2 will change to 24 sec. Save
For no great reason I then choose to delete last pcg in domain (VTST 4,17 has remaining 2 ilvu cells) and save
now open in vobblanker, it will want to skip vts 4, highlight it and click process
find ttn 03 (title 18) and blank
blank anything else you don't want(i left audio and subs alone) and processs
reopen result in pgcedit should be # of vob id warning click ok and save
Now you can send it to Rb to strip any audio. subs and encode
the result plays and behaves fine on my pc and standalone

There's an option in rebuilder to encode only the credits? I can't locate this. Or is this something you're doing outside of dvdrb?

It's in the segment editor. Actually what you do is tell it not to encode all the other segments... then it will only encode the credits.

Thanks for the info. I guess always doing "one click" encodes is why I've never been able to click the preview/edit tab.
