Well i just ordered DTV from local ISP and i was wondering if anyone has any experience with this stuff and if it is possible to capture programs from this set-top box. I know it's based around VDSL technology that is similar to ADSL2+, so it is IPTV. HDTV is currently limited to just few channels, but they are in h.264 and that will change in the near future. The STB is Amino-130 and below is a pic of the back from it.

I guess what i was wondering if it's possible to capture video signal from this thing, like it's possible with firewire, although i think this only has HDMI and UTP outputs. Is it possible to record video signal from IPTV digitally?

Ok, i figured it myself (found an article on the net). all i need is prog called PacketMon and VideoLAN, both are free! And with Packetmon i "sniff" the correct IP adress and than with VideoLAN's UDP/RTP Multicast i choose the right IP adress and then i can watch and record with RAW Dump! Awesome! :)

Hi! Well i could, but the thing is that's in Slovenian language, that's my native lang and i don't think that help's you much, unless you know a translate engine that can do Slovenian->English.
About capping, what i can say it works, but a stable VideoLAN is recommended, because otherwise it crashes on my PC! When i use RAW recording, i have to choose the codec (MPEG2 or h.264) and get a .ts file! The program PacketMon is used just to find out the correct IP number from the STB and first
you have to plugin your PC to the same network as STB, then run PacketMon and start "sniffing", then turn on the STB and then you find in the list of IP numbers, the number for STB. In my case it's like 10.81.24.43., if it's the same in your case the STB's IP ALWAYS starts with number 10! Then you enter that IP number under your Local Network settings in Control Panel also change the network mask to 255.255.0.0.The IP number 239.255.0.1 is the number for our national SLOTV, 239.255.0.2 is SLOTV2 and so on. When you have the IP number, you enter that in VideoLAN under the Network you choose UDP/RTP Multicast. That is what works for me, but if it sounds to complicated (and also i poorly translated that from the article), maybe a proggie caled FripTV, you can find it at http://sourceforge.net/projects/friptv
