ssrc and high audio selections

which is best to use ssrc or high for audio quality ?

good question...I'm guessing ultrahigh...but takes about 2 or 3 times longer. Then again SSRC might be better. I still always use NONE though.

so i guess you dont down sample at all then
and your dvd player hacks non standard svcd if i understand correctly ?

i dont downsample either and it can save me around 2 hours.i dont know of any players that cant handle 48khz sound.

What setting is SSRC comparable to?
I usually use High.
Does it take as long as when the 48->44 conversion setting is set to "High"?

only reason to not use NONE..and thus downsample is if we were trying to adhere to the SVCD spec. Only situation I can think of is your computer soundcard is 5 years old or your releasing it in the dvd scene. Now we wouldn't be doing that now would we.:rolleyes:

Also if you happen to own a stand alone SVCD player you would want to downsample.
Personally I don't know anyone that owns one, but I hear they are big in Asia and Europe.
I always use none and never had an issue.
