Hey guys,
I just got the idea to backup DVDs on HD-DVD-Rs or DVD-R in H.264, not on DVD-Rs in MPEG2 because then material could be compressed much better, maybe even innoticable difference. Is there a simple way to do so? I would want to keep the standard DVD resolution and make it compatible to future HD-DVD-Players. As HD-DVD-Rs and the writers are much too expensive, for now, I would stick to DVD-Rs, can also be DL-DVD-Rs. If possible, it should be a 1:1 backup with menu and everything else, but if there's nothing like this available yet, I'm glad to here everything else that can help me.
