Just started to play with MeGui for encoding video files for the PSP. Up till now I had been using all command line stuff including BeSweet, x264, Neroaacenc and MP4Box. It all works fine but thought there would be more flexibility in using MeGui.
Video is no problem but audio is. I tend to encode avi files which have VBR MP2 audio in them. My process uses avidemux2 to extract the audio from the avi file (usually Avidemux2 builds a new timemap for the audio file), save the audio file as a (compressed) wav file, then BeSweet to expand the audio as an uncompressed wav file. This file can then be input to neroaacenc.
Apart from the extraction of the audio from the avi file (which seems to be a process that MeGui cannot do), I cannot see how I can run the decompress in MeGui. If I don't do that. neroaacenc barfs trying to handle the compressed input wav file.
I probably am not doing something right but a scan of the forums and other knowledge bases didn't turn up anything relevant.
Any pointers welcome
Thanks
Larry
