.idx/.sub to .srt

hie, i m looking for something that is able to convert .idx to .srt.

and i m using ConvertXtoDVD to burn these subtitles. if anyone knows anymore other programs that i can use to burn subtitles please recomend me.

ive tried using SubRip. but i dont know what on earth is goin on there. if sumone could explain to me how i can do this properly that would be great.

You have to use the original VobSub software. It has a converter that will transform the IDX/SUB files to SRT by the means of OCR (You'll have to "teach" the software the letters in the first minutes until it knows all of them).

@rivetrenuck: You'll have to be more specific than "i dont know what on earth is goin on there" if you want an answer. What is your specific difficulty using SubRip?
BTW, there are guides and manuals on the web if you're having problems.
