Hey,
I wanted to do a 2 CD Rip of a DVD that I decrypted to my PC Hard Drive. I did all settings like I used to do for previous rips but I got a massive undersize. My file is like 580MB. I used Bitrate Calculator and then I also tried doing it by bitrate as a friend suggested. Ripped it 4 times and the file size varies from 384MB - 750MB.
What can I do........
There is no log file too......

Thanks for the reply bro.
It says :
2. Quantizer capping
The second solution is to prevent XviD from using Q1 frames. To do that, just replace the minimum frame quantizer with "2" for each frame type [I/P/B] ("Advanced option" / quantization dialog - in latest XviD releases : "Quality preset" > Userdefined > "more..."), and leave the maximum at 31.
You will have no more oversized. But... since you have read the explanations above, you must have understood that, doing this, you will get an undersized file, since there are no Q1 frames to fatten it. But, once more, it will be at maximum quality!
In this case, consider it as a good occasion to make your encoding better. Since you have "free space" to fill, use it by increasing the resolution, increasing the sound quality, using high quality custom matrices, etc.
But these stuff arent present in MeGUI. Please help....
:thanks:

Ok, I was using both passes seperately, even tried with Automated Two Pass and now I get 958MB. I changed the Quantizer(Min) all to 2 and the Max to 31. I should be getting 1310MB without audio.
Please help!

you removed Q1 frames, those are the highest quality frames. Therefore you reduced the quality of your encode.
If you want absolute max quality, set both max and min quantizer to 1 (or run in constant quantizer mode). Of course, your output file will be *huge*. Of course, some might argue that if your film is maxing out about 900 megs, then 900 megs is all it needs for great quality. You'd be wasting bits by forcing it to be 1300megs (2cd). Instead just increase the audio quality (or whatever).
