TMPGEnc and Automatic VBR (CQ_VBR) setting

I was not capable of change this setting from 50.
Every time I open the program it always set to 50.
Then I change the setting for another number (i.e.: 100) and the main window shows "MPEG-2 720x480 29.97 fps CQ_VBR 50". Always the same "CQ_VBR 50"
Is this a bug or I installed unproperly the program.

I use the CQ settings to try and fit my movies onto a single CD. So I am able to adjust it. Try removing tmgenc & reinstalling it again. Good luck.

I guess you are using a template, right? If so, close tmpg, go to the template dir, open the .mcf file of your liking and change all ReadOnly = True entries to ReadOnly = False. This should resolve your prob

Ok, If you are using a template, you can also load the UNLOCK template in the extras folder.... I think the only thing this does is to unlock things so you can change the settings.l

I didn't mention that I installed the newest 2.5 version of TMPG over the 2.02

I tried unlock.mcf file with no results.
I'm able to change settings in CQ_VBR setting window but when I return to the main program window it's still showing CQ_VBR 50 on the left bottom.

Old 2.02 version showed ok this settings.
