Hello,

I was doing a backup of the movie "the pursuit of happiness". Movies that are protected as this movie is have a bunch of VTS's that are garbage.

Delete Uncalled PGCs finds about 236 uncalled PGCs, but leaves me with around 70 that it recommends to just blank. I would rather just remove the garbage. I can do this if i click Delete last VTS 70 or so times. Is there a macro or quicker way of doing this? Or perhaps a feature that could be added to PGCedit?

Thanks!

Hi!Re-rip your DVD using the "RipIt4Me" package...

Really? I bought AnyDVD and haven't encountered any problems using it. What does RipIt4Me do differently? Thanks.

EDIT: It appears RipIt4Me is no longer supported.

What does RipIt4Me do differently?Automatically cleans up and eliminates phony/dummy/fake/unneeded files/PGCs/titles.It appears RipIt4Me is no longer supported. The fact that it's no longer being actively supported in no way means that the presently available versions no longer work. It just means you'll have to do a little hunting to find a download.

The "package" includes excellent built-in "Help".

Thank you for the recommendation and I will try it.

However staying inside the scope of PGCedit I don't see why this isn't possible?

Perhaps "r0lZ" can answer that for you...

Well, if there are still several uncalled PGCs after running Delete Uncalled PGCs, that means usually that it is not possible to remove them without modifying the nav commands in the VMG, or there are called menu PGCs associated with uncalled titles. Anyway, it is probably unsafe to delete them. Anyway, if you really want to do it, do an incremental backup first!

You should modify the commands in the VMGM menus and the FP-PGC to make those VTSs totally uncalled and call Delete Uncalled PGCs again.

If you really want to delete a lot of titlesets manually, you can detach the "DVD" menu of PgcEdit by clicking on its first entry (with a dotted line like that: "---------".) It is then easy to click several times on the same menu item.

Note also that the next version of PgcEdit (v8.1, to be released soon) will have a new function to delete the uncalled VTSs quickly. However, this function will probably not help you as the VTS must be totally uncalled or they will not be deleted at all.

Rolz here's a screenshot of what I'm talking about. The VTS's just have a NOP.

Something's wrong - perhaps in your rip. There are no titles associated with the VTSs. That is illegal.

There is something strange indeed. It is not possible to call a title from the VMG if it has no title number in the table of titles. That means that those VTS are uncalled. Remove Uncalled PGCs should therefore be able to remove them automatically. What happens exactly when you use that function?

After I run the Delete uncalled PGCs process it highlights the 60 or so garbage VTSs in pink and says in the bottom status bar:

Done. X uncalled PGCs cannot be deleted. You might want to blank them manually.

During the check for Uncalled PGCs it says something like Delete - Delete Last VTS for each uncalled title. But at the end it gives me the message I posted above.

Well, there is obviously a problem. Will have a look...
