Anyone knows more about the Chinese AMV format?

I am trying to find out more about the Chinese AMV format.... I know there are some data at Wikipedia about it but I require more than those information.....

Anyone knows where I get get a more comprehensive specs for the AMV format and its maximum capability.

there's a bit more information here:

so apparently it's not much more than copy -b *.jpg with an avi wrapper.

so you might be able to decode them with mplayer/ffmpeg, and you might be able to encode them with virtualdub, an MJPEG vfw codec, and a hex editor (to blank the appropriate headers).

i'd experiment a little with this one.
