question about chapters

if i rip the dvd to hard drive and cancel dvd2svcd so i can process later, the rip dirctory contains the ifo file and vobs.
when i use these to start a new project in dvd2svcd i cant select which chapters i want to use any more.
does this mean when i create a svcd from here that i will not get chapters as per the dvd chapters ?

"chapter selection to rip" only works if "rip with internal routines" is turned on. However, your SVCD will have DVD chapters even if you begin the process with vob files already ripped.

is it possible to use internal routines on the already ripped vobs to use the chapter selection on the second dvd2svcd run ?

yes. Just use another folder as output.
