Well... we did a video.. we did it off of a Sony DV camcorder.... It came out kinda all right.... When we saved it with Premier, it came up saved as .avi. Its a big one too.. i think it was like 2.04GB big.
Some guy managed to decrease the size with movie maker and put it on YOUTUBE but as u can see.. it has black borders.. So i still have the huge 2.04GB .avi I wanted to use AGK to make it be fullscreen and smaller so its no more than 100mb. And so all that black border is not on there.. or at least the majority of it.. So it looks like full screen. Also, unless it cant be fixed... there are horizontal lines on the thing... I dont know if that has something to do with the interlacing.

I checked the TUNE Auto Crop thingy... made the top be 15 and the right be 12... lefdt the left and bottom to 0. and it strectched pretty alright.. So i guess my new question is... how good or whats the best way to get rid of those lines the horizontal ones on the video..

Hi,

English is not my native langage and I have a hard time understanding you :( could you make an effort to better phrase? thank you.

You (we= friends and you) made that avi DV and uploaded it on youtube and you are using the youtube version as input (from the log: source=d3g utube 1d3g utube 1.avi)
1/ Use the 2.04Gb as source instead of the youtube; maybe you know the saying: garbage in, garbage out
If the black bars are on youtube they will not show; if they are on the avi source, see the saying above. As requested, upload a small sample of the avi source for further help

2/ Concerning your log
When you dont know where you are going let AGK on auto without changing any params (ref your other thread: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=124530 )
The problem here is too much size (reverse of other thread), so lower your final size (try 80/85Mb) and try again.

3/ You need to crop by multiple of 16 (total horizontal or vertical) to be real safe, so in your example for vertical you can go for 16 on top. 12 for horizontal could be ok (multiple of 4) if not, add 4 to have a 16 pixels crop.

I have dreamed ( a few minutes) of a new post from romeo5k. This dream was vivid and I recall with accuracy it's content. So this will be the first time i answer to a virtual post :)

I think I have seen a query on how to cut avi with VDM; if so a google search with "cut avi" gave me quite a few links. The most illustrated: http://www.dvd-guides.com/content/view/13/59/
the guide from doom9: http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/virtualdub_procedures.htm
and a few other freewares to cut/split/join avi :
http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Multimedia_and_Graphics/Video_and_Animation_Tools/SolveigMM_AVI_Trimmer.html
http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Multimedia_and_Graphics/Video_and_Animation_Tools/SC_Video_Cut_and_Split.html
http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Multimedia_and_Graphics/Video_and_Animation_Tools/free_Video_Cut_and_Split.html
Pick your choice.

I think I also have seen a log of a new encode. As I do not have a photographic memory I can only answer on a few points:
- It could be made from the original avi... If so
Does it still have the black bar?
width seems 512 and quality around 52%, if so you may want to increase the size (and keep the PCM audio) or keep the size and ask for a CBR or VBR MP3 audio ...
- I have also seen a few lines from the log highlighted in red, if so I will wait for real questions to be formulated...

I believe you try very hard to get answers to your issues and this attitude is always appreciated here on doom9. Everybody can make mistakes and the posts can always be edited to gain clarity and/or accuracy.

Please try again.

I went ahead and deleted what i had. I started back with the 2GB file. Everything sounded and looked alright. its just the frigging lines that are in there.... i would think i can get rid of it... The only thing i changed was in the hidden settings.

You may have your reasons to use sharpmatrix but when seeing your result sample I believe it will have a better lookout without the sharpmatrix and 2 to 4 more width steps

The less size tip was for the youtube source; For the orginal avi source it seems you need more size to get decent result; try +- 120Mb

Anyhow it is taking shape (even if a blurry shape :) )
