I've been searching for an answer re: audio decoding problems I've been having so I'm creating a new thread to see if I can get some help...

I've backed up multiple HD-DVD via AnyDVD and have demuxed with EVO.

The problem I have is that when I create my GraphEdit file, I can only get Sonic Cinemaster Audio Decoder 4.2 to get any sound. This is only 2 channel but the goal is to have 5.1 or 7.1 encoding via wmcmd.vbs or any other tool to get the right output.

All other directshowfilters for decoding audio: Cyberlink Audio Decoder (PDVD7), Intervideo Audio Decoder, Nero, etc all have the audio without sound. I can see the correct time and it says it's playing, but just no sound.

I have used AC3 filter setting to 5.1 after Sonic 4.2 but it sounds like chipmunks!

When I add the DTS/DD/AC3 source filter on the .dts file and add the AC3 filter I see the decoder information:
Input format: AC3 - 48000
User format: PCM16 3/2 (5 channels) 0
Output format: Unknown - 0

I also tried demuxing direct from EVO and it said that I was working with DD 6 Channel 48K hz 24bps. But the AC3 filter says that output format unknown...

Anyone else have this problem and found a solution???

Thanks.

I'm sure this is related...I was opening a .wav file to listen to a phone message and found out that Windows Media Player no longer plays my .wav files. Not sure if there was some system setting I screwed up while doing the investigation re: audio codecs...it does open in iTunes, and Nero...

Maybe that is part of the problem and someone can help me understand how to get that working again...
