Heyall.
I have the SAW2 DVD and the main menu and scenes are in different VTS's. Is there a way to combine VTS_01_0.VOB and VTS_02_0.VOB to create the menu's in 1 VOB eg VTS_01_0.VOB
Thanks

Only by a full re-authoring. Why would you want to do that if the menus are well authored now (which I can only presume they are given they are made by a professional authoring house)?

Hi, Thanks for the reply.
I have a store bought copy of Saw2 ( Region 2 ) and would like to make a backup of the trilogy onto 1 DVD-R. I do NOT like family handling my originals so I was putting all 3 onto 1. The problem is the VIDEO_TS.VOB contains the Main Menu and VTS_01_0.VOB containts the scene selections.
When I playback the disk now, there is a pause between the mainmenu and movie playback AND mainmenu and scene selection that is slittely irratating ( OK OK Bad Spelling ).
But, if it can't be done, tough luck - I just though it would be possible because it is a video and audio stream with VOBID's etc pointing to where the playback sequence is in the VOB files.
:) :) Well, something like that - I do understand the process, just bad at putting it into words.
:thanks:

The easiest way to merge 3 to 1 is to use DVD Remake Pro (http://www.dimadsoft.com/dvdremakepro/index.php). It creates it's own "top menu" and you switch between disks using the Title menu button on the remote.
The whole process is almost 1 click (guide on site).
I guess you don't mind about quality, as you will be trying to get 4.5 odd hours of movies onto 1 DVD-5.

Hey, Blutach.
Thanks for the speedy reply.
I currently do things a bit long winded. I use DVDShrink to extract the movie ONLY and then DVDRB to recode the movie using HC. Normally a bitrate of about 1700-1800 ( still VERY watchable on a 17inch monitor ). Using the HC encoder.
Therefore 3 on a disk is VERY possible at a brilliant quality ( also 720x576 ) - HC is a great compressor.
Then I use PGCEdit to import the men's to my new DVD and a basic menu to select what to watch - It is only for my usage after all.
I am VERY anti-pirating, so I am happy with this method.
Thanks again for the assist - Just trying to shorten my long method.
Maybe I should post a guide HEY :) :) :)

We'll leave our differences about watchability at low BRs for later. However, suffice to say, an MP4 compression might end up with better quality.
Maybe all you need is the ability to make and import a basic menu. You can try TitleWriter (http://www.digital-digest.com/software/titlewriter.html) or DVDAuthorGUI (http://download.videohelp.com/liquid217/dvdauthorgui.pl).
