Trouble backing up Dick and Jane

I am attempting to burn a backup of my DVD "Fun with Dick and Jane" Using Ripit4me Version 1.7.1.0 with no success. Once DVD Decrypter begins, the DVD freezes and sounds as if it is a record skipping. Prior to using Ripit4me I used DVD Shrink and would experience the same problem, receiving a "redundancy error" message. Can anyone please assist!?!?!?

Hi!

You should have absolutely no difficulty using "RipIt4Me" to backup "Fun with Dick and Jane" (either version - George Segal or Jim Carrey).

You either have a flawed disc or a problematic DVD ROM/burner.

If the disc is flawed, return it to the place of purchase in exchange for a new replacement...

And thank you for the quick response. When I open Ripit4me, the process goes as normal from there until I'm using DVDD, which is when it freezes. Turns out it must be my DVD ROM for this particular DVD. I am using my other computer (which has a newer version of DVDD) and everything seems to be working:)

Now all you have to do is determine what the problem is with your other DVD-ROM. If you've gotten a lot of use with it, you might want to run a DVD/CD cleaning disc on it. Maxell makes one that sells for about $10US...
