Hi,

I'm a new user to Gordian Knot and I managed almost perfectly with the guide on doom9 main site. But I have a problem with configuring the x264's first and second pass. Actually, I can't do anything. When I click on the buttons in the options tab, nothing happens. I figured maybe Gk can't find the codec or something 'cause when I run the compressibility test a warning message appears that says that Gk can't find the logfile. I have the x264.exe codec file, but I'm not exactly sure where am I supposed to put it in order to work properly with GK. I have it in /system32, is that the right place?

I've read the "FAQ: GKnot fails to find a log file! (Last update 17 June 2003)" thread, but it didn't help...

get VFW Standard installer here: (bottom of the page)

Due to some deprecated and incompatible AVI format features, the VFW version development was stopped. The new, command line only encoder x264.exe is not compatible with VirtualDub VFW interface anymore. The same applies for GordianKnot.

The VFW version above is being updated unofficially.
