Hi!

Is there any (more) up-to-date (than DVDD 3.5.4.0) decrypter tool or method that provide the same functionality as DVDDs Stream Processing? It comes in handy ripping and encoding tv show episodes fast without using large temp space.

Thanks.

However, I'm GUESSING you meant free. :) In which case there is no better solution than DVDD. I'm guessing your issue is that once it's ripped to the hard drive, DVDD can't open it making it a real pain to work with, correct? If so, there are two ways to go about it. First, you could use AnyDVD and work with the disc directly...You can configure DVDD to work with AnyDVD running in the background and all is well. Or, you can rip the entire disc to an ISO and mount the ISO with something like VirtualCloneDrive or whatever. Then you can use DVDD against that. The point I'm making here is that yes, it's a pain, but, there is no better option for stream processing that I've found so far.

Hey, you know...I just rediscovered that SmartRipper also has stream processing and can open files off the hard drive. So, that might be an option for you. Yea, I know, I know...it's older than DVDD, but, at least it can open files from the hard drive.

Also, IIRC, you can make a VIDEO_TS.IFO for the files ripped in IFO mode using the old free DVDFab (0.17).

See mrbass's site (http://www.mrbass.org/dvdfab/).

Yes :-)

No. My issue is that there's no any other free up-to-date software that can copy streams directly from the disc, demux them, calculate delay, cut by cells (for series episodes), etc. :-)
DVDD is a great software but a bit old :-) My another personal fav. is DVDFab Decrypter but even it's Platinum version has limited functionality to me.

Thank you all the help! :-)

I've not found any free software that works as well as DVDD for that. It's been THE main reason I've kept it around all these years. That's one of my absolute favorite features. Truly a remarkable piece of software.

@PuppZ

As you probably know, DVD Decrypter cannot handle newer copy protection schemes ("ARccOS", "RipGuard", etc.) directly. However, if you're willing to purchase a commercial program, it's been posted that with "AnyDVD" running in the background, DVD Decrypter (with "I/O interface" changed to "Elby CDIO") can process them...
