Hi everyone
I'm going to encode my Simpsons Third Season DVD Box to Xvid with Gknot...
My question is:
Is it right that Tomsmocomp is very good to use for this job.
I'm asking which one to use of this three:
Kernel Deinterlace
Field Deinterlace
Tomsmocomp

Which one is going to be a good deinterlace for that job.
I want to have an good, sharp (kind of sharp) image ;)

I need a quick reply...

I have to update my post...

I tried the tomsmocomp deinterlacer and the result was not as good as with the kernel deinterlacer... it was more unsharp

So should i you kernel deinterlace or field deinterlace?
is field interlace going to do better quality than the kernel one?

please reply quickly

The Simpsons disks are hybrid - I gave up and let AutoGK handle them, which did a better job than any manual settings I tried.

Trial and error is always the best solution if you're not sure which to use...

I always use Kernel Deinterlace, I'm usually satisfied with the results, though I never tried it on a cartoon.

Like Gornot says: try it out and use the one which you think is best

hybrid?
I have to say that my DVDs are all PAL!
I'm from Germany.
Sorry I forgor that detail...

I think, i'll use Field Deinterlace.

or is there nothing which is better for this source?
