I've held off on using ripit4me because as a novice, I'm not able to follow all that is going on under the hood when it "cleans up" ripguard and arccos titles. And I've heard jdobbs mention in the past that overprocessing the source can cause snafus with DVD-RB. But are there settings aside from the default that DVD-RB prefers? Something that will yield the cleanest and most compliant source material possible?

Without those cleanups your DVD is left with more junk and in some cases it might not even play properly (if you dont run that cleanup process)

The extra "cleanup" routines is what DVD-RB has been adding recently. My goal is to try and remove as many external requirements as possible.

RipIt4Me produces compliant rips as far as I can tell. Its structures are clean and IFO tables are fine.
In reality, btspm, just click 1-click and go and load up into DVDRB.

Thanks guys. It's hard to know who to trust when ripit4me, AnyDVD, and DVDFab Decrypter all claim to handle the latest protections, and all usually result in usable output, but I end up with 3 very different looking VIDEO_TS folders.

trust jdobbs.
Trust dvdrb.fixvts. then trust pgcedit.vobblanker.menuedit.titlesetblanker.menushrink.
dvdinfopro and dvd decrypter of course.
and trust imageburn for your burning process.
and trust this forum..it is the best.

That link results in a "forbidden" error. Additionally, it appears that the direct link to ripit4me is now dead.
Maybe it's gone the way of dvd decrypter
