Hi!

i have a question i haven't been able to solve reading many sites with cce content. i want to rip region1 dvd (i live in slovenia - europe and i have a sony region2 dvd player) and make a svcd that i will be able to play on my sony standalone dvd player. as my parents prefer not to watch films with original sound only (without subtitles) i would like to insert slovenian subtitles (i can get sloevenian subtitles for some region1 dvds from internet and convert it to .ssa format so i can use them in virtualdub with subtitles plug-in) through virtualdub and frameserve it to cce. my trouble is i just can't frameserve with virtualdub to cce. cce crashes everytime. is there a way to frameserve to cce with virtualdub? is there a way to insert subtitles other than with virtualdub?

thank you,

borut.

Hi,

certainly you can use the Virtual Dub FrameServer to frame-serve to Cinema Craft Encoder 2.50 ...
But you have to frame-serve Video AND Audio. Otherwise CCE will close instantly when you drag the vdr file into the CCE window.
In the CCE settings simply disable audio encoding ... use tooLame instead ...

Virtual Dub has no MPEG2 support, so no it can not open VOBs.
