Interlaced to Deinterlace

i have dvd it's source is interlaced and i want to turn that into the De- interlace or make it progressive can any program do that and how long does they takes do that. i don't want to use passes i just want make that dvd progressive with better quality. thx a lot

you have a lot to learn.... :eek:

you should start by reading about the basics of video encoding, so you have some idea of what you are doing. if you have done this already, try using AVISynth and MeGUI. AVISynth will do the deinterlacing, and MeGUI will do the encoding (multiple passes and everything). that is not to say that its easy. good luck.
