Hi,

I need some help with some VOBS I got off a DVD. I'm using family guy DVD and "d like to cut off all the useless parts of each show. For enoding and cramming onto backups.

I thried VOB joiner and MPEG2Cut to mess around with the files. However, I get very bad results in the form of missing chunks when I split and rejoin Vobs. And this is not an errer on my end. The tools are poor quality.

Is there any software I can use that will help me to split and join vobs losslessly and without hassle? And without missing data?

Hi!

The simplest way to accomplish what you want is:

1) Rip your entire original DVD to your hard drive, in DVD format (.IFOs, .BUPs, .VOBs)

2) Use DVD Shrink in "Re-author" mode to select only those pieces you wish to keep

Does it do a good job? And can I resave the files without recompressnig in MPEG2? Save as Vobs again?

I would like to convert them in AutoGK so I really don't want to lose quality even more.
