View Full Version : Selection range "forgotten" when a .VCF file is loaded

It's quite possible that I've overlooked something glaringly obvious here...

I've noticed that the frame selection range between the in & out markers is never restored after loading up a .VCF project settings file. On inspection of the file with a text editor, the range is clearly stored (albeit rather bizarrely as millisecond offsets from beginning and end of file), but the program never seems to use them.

Is this by design, a bug or what?

Try doing you edits and then save the vcf file. This will save the edits. When you start Vdub next time load the avi file and then load the vcf file the stored edits will then have taken place.

It took me about 2-3 weeks of writing the cut-in cut-out frame numbers down until I realised that the vcf files stored these numbers!!

When you have default setup of audio / video compression codecs etc load the vcf file before you load a new avi this will stop the stored edits in the vcf file from having any effect. Do the edits and then save it as a new vcf.

i have the same problem. sometimes it works, sometimes not and sometimes it even marks a random range in the video when i load the vcf file. think its a bug.
