problem with new nero version!!!

I convert a cartoon (20 minutes) with nero recode 2...I set 50 mb output file size and audio aac 40 kbit/s HE.With version 7.7.5.1 I get a final movie with witdh 400.Using the last nero 7.8.5.0 my final movie will be with witdh 368 but video bitrate higher!For my eyes at full screen the movie of nero 7.7.5.1(more resolution but less bitrate than 7.8.5.0)is better than movie of nero 7.8.5.0!!Why?

Did you try encoding the same episode with both versions ? If so, they probably adjusted their compressibility check, and an explanation on their behalf would be welcome.

If not, try again with the same episode on both versions and report back. It's not because it's the same cartoon that it should come out with the same size.

Maybe problem is this:nero 7.7.5.1 has a bad calculator!For example,if I set 50 mb output file size,nero will create a movie of 37mb and not 50 mb(instead nero 7.8.5.0 has a good calculator(generate a 50 mb final movie)).Now the problem is:If I set 50 mb output size in both nero 7.7.5.1 and 7.8.5.0 in the first case generate a 37 mb final movine with width 368 and bitrate 250 kbit/s;in the second case I generate a 50 mb final movie with width 368(as 7.7.5.1)and video bitrate higher(because 50 mb is higher than 37 mb!):If I want get a 50 mb final movie with nero 7.7.5.1 I set in output size 67 mb (instead in 7.8.5.0 I set 50 mb!):result will be that nero will calculate witdh using output size setted (in 7.7.5.1=67 mb,in 7.8.5.0=50 mb),so in 7.7.5.1 I will get I final movie with more resolution but less bitrate(because final size will be 50 mb in both!)than 7.8.5.0.For my eyes 37 mb final movie of 7.7.5.1 is similar to 50 mb 7.8.5.0 final movie(same resolution but 50 mb final movie of 7.8.5.0 has more bitrate than 37 mb final movie of 7.7.5.1),but 50 mb(67 mb setted in nero options) 7.7.5.1 is better than 50 mb 7.8.5.0(more resolution and less bitrate). Maybe in cartoon more resolution and less bitrate in better!

nero 7.7.5.1 movie is similar to x264(anime profile)final movie..maybe for cartoon is better more resolution and less bitrate!why doesn't Nero create an anime profile?Or is it possibile create an anime profile editiging xml file?

The final filesize as calculated by nero should include the audio. So asking for 50MB final size would be 40MB video and 10MB audio (for a 20 min episode). So you say nero 7.7.5.1 doesn't do this ? You say nero 7.7.5.1 does 50MB video + 10MB audio = 60MB ? (bigger than you asked for ?).

nero 7.7.5.1 has a bad calculator!for example,if I set 50 mb output size I will get a 37 mb final file (audio+video),instead in 7.8.5.0 I will get a 50 mb final movie!The algorith of nero see the output size setted and choose resolution.Now,in nero 7.7.5.1 if I want get a 50mb final movie I must set 67 mb output size(because 7.7.5.1 has a bad calculator!).Setting 67 mb output size in 7.7.5.1 I will get a 50 mb final movie with for example witdh=400;in nero 7.8.5.0 If I set 67 mb I will get a 67 mb final movie with witdh=400 but with more bitrate!This bug in 7.7.5.1 is an advantage for me for anime,because it generate a final movie with more resolution but less bitrate...Now for anime my eyes prefered more resolution than bitrate(more resolution and less bitrate for anime is better than less resolution and more bitrate!)

It's actually very wierd that nero 7.7.5.1 calculates it needs less bitrate to encode more pixels ... oO At least it got fixed ... :rolleyes:

But for my eyes for anime is better a 50mb final movie with more resolution and less bitrate than a 50mb final movie with less resolution and more bitrate!Why don't create an anime profile optimized for cartoon?
