I have been able to convert alot of my recently recorded HD content from various HD channels. The only stuff I am not able to convert is my older recordings that I converted to 720p h264 in order to conserve hard drive space.

The videos I am having trouble with are 25fps .mkv files. I have .h264 video and .ac3 audio in these containers. I have been using several programs to attempt to get them to work with Cinevision including MainConcept, Elecard Convertor Studio and even Canopus ProCoder 2.

Once I look back on it, I was stupid to convert them and I wouldnt be in such a pickle right now, but this is what I have to deal with.

I have a feeling the reasons why Cinevision wont accept them ( I get an error saying that Cinevision cannot encode this file) is because of either the 25fps or the fact that they are h264 files.

If anyone has any clue on how to get this working, it would be appreciated. I am currently trying to offload the 200GB+ of HD content onto disks (DVD5 or DVD9) so I can start recording new programs.

As for my hardware I use to play these disks, I own a Toshiba HD-A2.

But the specs are still not freely available, right?

Well I have tried everything, and for some reason these files just wont work, which is a pain. I have even installed a format recovery program to find my original 1080i .ts files, but to no luck. I just think I messed up somewhere in the 1080i-720p downconvert. Oh well.
