Well i just tried something and i can take the main movie file thats decrypted from the bluray movie and burn it to a BD-RE disk and my Playstation 3 will play the file with no problems what so ever . I just updated to the latest PS3 update. I did try one of my other BD-R disks with all the files on the disk and the PS3 says invalid disk . Im going to play around a little more to made see if its possible to get the menu to work too.!! Let me know if there is anything you would suggest on trying !!

Quit waisting your expensive media. The ps3 will play .m2ts files no problem, but only avc and mpeg-2, no vc-1. If you want, rename .mp4 and transfer to ps3 with file server. The thing is, its just playing the file from the disc, but youll notice your only getting stereo sound, just like if you had it on your hard drive. If you can burn all the files to the disc, and it boots up like a blu ray, Youll prolly be the first. they said they added -re support, but I think they were just saying, Ya it can read the files off it but No you cant use it to make your own bootable bluray movies. Look at sonys forums, no one has got it to work. Oh well, maybe next update.

Ps3 only play BDAV on a BD-R/RW disc. BDAV does not inclue menus. so the best solution is burn .m2ts files to BD-R/RW.
