I can't get the sound to work properly on my DVD/HDD recorder and it's driving me crazy.
The sound is normal through the TV and when playing CD's. It's fine with avi files and DivX but it will not work with DVD's. The 5.1 surround sound only comes out of the secondary speakers and not the main speakers when a DVD is inserted ... other than that it works fine. It records to the HDD and playback is fine. Only DVD's are affected and I don't know why.
Has anybody any idea as to what the problem could be?
I'm a newbie here and I've only had the recorder for two weeks ... I bought it through Bid tv and I'm thinking of returning it if I can't solve the problem.
Everything is connected using scart cables ... the cables appear okay and they are all in the correct sockets.
