View Full Version : 704x480 and muxman v0.15q

I've an MPEG-2 stream (704x480) containing audio I want to replace.

Therefor I used VOBEdit to extract the MPEG stream as a m2v-file.

This m2v file doesn't load into muxman v0.15q (saying 1 file rejected).

I've tried the same with other DVD conform resolutions (like 704x576) and muxman can process them all to build a VOB + IFOs and stuff.
Is this a bug, is there a solution? Thanks in advance for help / suggestions.

:thanks:

Could you post the log file (default location is c:\muxman.log)? Are you loading other video files into the same DVD? You cannot mix NTSC and PAL video in the same segment with 0.15Q

note to others reading this: you can not mix NTSC and PAL resolutions during any mux, but in later versions of MuxMan it is not an error to import mixed standards, those files not conforming to the preference are skipped

thanks for the quick answer.

acutally this is the first file I try to add into muxman and it's just some seconds of black content (just for testing).

the log:

MuxMan version 0.15Q
Rejected sp r/fr C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\Tom\Desktop\Test\704x480 BLACK.m2v

If I try exactly the same procedure with another resolution it works great, wired...

silly me... GSpot gave me the hint...
704x480 must be NTSC but my MPEG2-stream has 25 pics/sec...

thanks for your time... :)

Run it through DGPulldown set for 25->29.97fps and then try again.

Also the readme file that comes with MuxMan explains the message
sp r/fr non-spec resolution / framerate combination.
